El Centro Internacional para la Promoción de los Derechos Humanos (CIPDH-UNESCO) presenta la segunda edición de su Curso Internacional sobre Derechos Humanos.
El tema central de este año será “Investigación en derechos humanos. Verificación de hechos, documentación y monitoreo”. Tendrá lugar en el Observatorio Villa Ocampo de la UNESCO, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, entre el 29 de octubre y el 2 de noviembre.
Este Curso Internacional se propone trabajar sobre las particularidades y las diferencias existentes entre las tareas de investigación, verificación de hechos, documentación y monitoreo de violaciones puntuales o sistemáticas de derechos humanos, mediante el estudio de casos concretos y el análisis de nuevas tecnologías y metodologías.
MODALIDAD
Los/as docentes y expositores son expertos/as, funcionarios/as y activistas que compartirán sus experiencias y reflexiones con los/as participantes seleccionados/as. La dinámica que atravesará las distintas sesiones tendrá diferentes formatos. Contará con cuatro sesiones dedicada al estudio y análisis de un número igual de casos emblemáticos de investigaciones de violaciones de derechos humanos, como por ejemplo la desaparición forzada contra estudiantes en Ayotzinapa, México. Cada una de esas sesiones contará con la participación de una o más personas involucradas directamente en el caso y expertos que comentarán sobre éste. También se desarrollarán dos clases dictadas por expertos y académicos, una entrevista pública a una personalidad destacada del campo de la investigación en derechos humanos y una sesión dedicada a la utilización de herramientas específicas para la investigación en derechos humanos.

The International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights (CIPDH-UNESCO)presents the second edition of its International Course on Human Rights.
The central topic of this course will be: “Human Rights Investigation. Fact-finding, documenting and monitoring” and will be held at the UNESCO Observatory Villa Ocampo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 29 October to 2nd November 2018.
This international course intends to tackle the particularities and differences that exist among investigation, fact-finding, documenting and monitoring human rights violations (individual or systematic) through case studies and the analysis of new technologies and methodologies.
COURSE FORMAT
The teachers and speakers are experts, public officials and activists that will share their experiences and thoughts with the selected participants. The course will have four sessions dedicated to the study and analysis of specific cases of investigation of human rights violations, such as the enforced disappearance of students in Ayotzinapa, México. Each of those sessions will count on the participation of actors that were directly involved in those cases as well as commentators. The event will also include classes by renowned experts in their fields, a public interview to an outstanding personality in human rights investigation and a special session aim at learning about practical tools for such tasks.
